Chairperson of Nepal Micro Insurance, Ashish Shrestha, has been taken into custody.
A team from the Central Investigation Bureau of the Nepal Police apprehended Shrestha today from the Kageshwori Manohara area for investigation under provisions of the Insurance Act, 2079.
Senior Superintendent of Police (SSP) Shiva Kumar Shrestha said the arrest was made following a recommendation from the Nepal Insurance Authority, which alleged his involvement in an offense under Clause 140(6)(1) of the Act in relation to activities linked with Nepal Micro Insurance Company.
