Ronnie O’Sullivan hit five centuries as he beat Luca Brecel 10-5 to win the Snooker 900 Global Championship final.
The match was tied at 3-3 before seven-time world champion O’Sullivan took the final three frames of the afternoon session to lead 6-3.
The 50-year-old also won the first two frames of evening session to move 8-3 in front before Brecel – the 2023 world champion – took the next frame after he had ball-in-hand after an O’Sullivan foul.
Brecel got it to 8-5 before O’Sullivan knocked in a century and won the next frame to secure another tournament victory on the back of winning the World Seniors Snooker Championship last week.
Snooker 900 events involve playing frames to a 15-minute (900 seconds) time limit, a 20-second shot clock and a ball in hand rule when a foul is conceded.
“I love this format. It’s hit the sweet spot with snooker,” O’Sullivan told Pluto TV.
