Learning how to take a difficult problem, break it into manageable pieces, and convince others of the validity of a solution prepares graduates for success wherever their ambitions lead, from graduate school and national laboratories to highly competitive careers in technology, finance, engineering, and beyond.
By the time they graduate, OSU Physics students have done far more than complete coursework. They have contributed to real research, worked closely with faculty mentors, communicated their discoveries to diverse audiences, and learned how to tackle problems that do not come with answers in the back of a textbook. These experiences develop the confidence, independence, and adaptability that enable physics graduates to thrive in virtually any career path they choose.
