Sayfol International School students feel safe and inspired to learn and grow. Located in the vibrant, multicultural Malaysian capital of Kuala Lumpur, the school founded in 1985 is today home to students from 60 countries pursuing a holistic education. A comprehensive range of features ensures each student develops academically, mentally, physically, socially and creatively.
“We believe education is about more than just exams,” says Michelle Jane, Head of School. “It’s about inspiring curiosity, building resilience, and preparing students for a lifetime of success.”

Ready for the future
As you reach Sayfol’s main entrance, you’ll notice students of a diverse range of students walking in — from Kindergarten to those taking the International A-Level programme.
The same can be said of its curriculum. Beyond preparing for exams and university, each curriculum was designed to achieve severalkey goals: creativity, confidence, communication, leadership, and independence.
It’s a combination that’s led to good results. Over the last five years, Sayfol has maintained a 99% pass rate for IGCSEs, with many students receiving the Pearson Academic Excellence Award.
Part of that success can be attributed to how the school gives students the space to explore their interests. At Sayfol, this comes tenfold — starting from its classrooms. Kindergarten students spend their days in spacious, colourful classrooms and the playground, learning how to communicate and work collaboratively. Secondary classrooms are smaller in size with students adopting a blended learning approach using technology. Guiding them are experienced teachers who ensure that each student builds strong 21stcentury skills, such as critical thinking. This structured yet supportive environment allows for a smoother transition for international students moving into English-medium education, with courses in English as a Second Language offered.
“Over the past eight years, I’ve seen Sayfol evolve into a dynamic hub of learning and innovation,” says Jane. “Our campus reflects this progress with facilities designed to nurture talent in academics, sports, and the arts.”
Within classrooms and beyond, Sayfol keeps pace with the digital age. The school uses technology as a resource to maximise the potential of every student and every teacher. There are five computer labs, two of which house 3D printers for students to design, prototype, and create. Wi-Fi, accessible throughout campus, allow students to access educational material easily. Spaces like the Chemistry Lab and ICT Lab get students involved in hands-on projects.
Traits like self-confidence and comradeship certainly do not grow through sitting idle at a desk all day. Sayfol believes in holistic development, encouraging all of its students to participate in real-world experiences, events, and competitions. The more varied the experiences, the better. It’s through these opportunities to explore and challenge themselves in new settings that students start believing they’re ready for life beyond the classroom.

When children explore, they grow
Learning at Sayfol is all about balance, with a wide range of co-curricular and extracurricular activities to encourage every child to participate. Just one year ago, the school had celebrated the opening of its Multipurpose Hall, an activity hub for such sports, arts, and school events.
Aspiring footballers can sharpen their technique on the Greenfield Turf & Multipurpose Sports Court, which hosts football matches all year round, including inter-school championships. Suppose your child wants to be a competitive swimmer — Sayfol is home to a 25-metre swimming pool in which they can unlock their talents. From basketball and netball to table tennis and taekwondo, the school will help your child get active and even prepare to go pro.
The arts are just as much emphasised here. Whether it’s in music, dancing, singing, or acting, students can do so in the Performing Arts facility, located just opposite the medical room. Recently, students performed in their own theatre production of “The Wizard of Oz.” The Secondary School Art Classroom was also built to allow students to unleash their creativity, whether through a painting or a handicraft.
