Harris, who has worked in international education for over three decades, told The PIE’s CEO and co-founder Amy Baker she was “very chuffed” to have been highlighted at the event.
“I’m feeling very honoured to have been recognised for the 36 years I’ve been involved in the sector. I’m really, genuinely passionate about what we do and for The PIE to recognise that, I’m very, very grateful,” she said.
Although long considered an expert in international education, Harris has gained a cult following over the past few years for her razor sharp insights on the policies shaping Australian international education.
“I have a voice and I have a story to share,” she said of her work.
Harris told The PIE she felt she was “making a contirubtion back to the sector” through sharing her insights.
